Shitty quality, I know, but you get the point. Found this posted by Vermin Supreme on Facebook. Just when you thought shit couldn't get any worse in the US.

You're either for US or against US. :zzwhip:

Considering today's US government is a result of the voter/people's apathy and lack of efficacy and involvement in anything political(Plato said some shit about if smart people don't bother with governance, the state is doomed to be run by herpderps), what the hell is there to complain about?

Honestly, where the hell do Americans think it's American to protest? If you need to walk with picket signs, that means you ignored every warning sign history has blatantly thrown your way up until that point. You're not thinking, you're acting reactionary.

Reactionary people are the ones that will get desperate. If you've been paying attention, everything that's happening follows a direct logical trajectory, and there is NOTHING to whine or yell or protest about.

Get to work, be the best person YOU can be for yourself and others, and that is enough.

You cannot force other people to rally for your cause, and to try to do so with incomplete ideas based on an incomplete knowledge of the situation you're protesting about is insanely dangerous.

Protesting isn't so much French Revolution as it is Reign of Terror and majority tyranny...Not very American ideas

ohh boy the good days are over,

the government should start thinking this way

if you give a dog bone he will be happy and shuts up ( dogs=People )
if you ignore the dog he will start barking ( ignore = gov

What is this, I don't even.......

So basically Americans have no right to complain because the writing was on the wall, even though the truth is always twisted, and as long as you just "do your best" everything is going to be OK regardless of what is going on it the world? Seems like a bit of a cop out.

^ Oh look, dreamache, a member of Occupy EverythingNothing

Lemme axe you, Seinfeld conjurer, what is there to whine about that shouldn't be handled through voting/courts/legislation/study?

What protest was ever successful without a leader or a clear, distinct message? What are today's protests about, specifically?

Something about the 1% (I guess? Who even knows what they think they're protesting about) and how people with money and who have companies that hire people are bad and politicians that get elected over and over again are gross and corrupt.

No one has earned the right to protest or whine or yell, considering...they're dumb as shit and continue to go to work every day.

It's like eating a big mac and wondering why you're having a tough time breathing, and then you sit on your computer and talk about how fast food is ruining American health. It's ADORABLE

lol yeah dude, go commit an act of economic turrism like that, I double dare you.

No one's willing to take action or responsibility, everyone's willing to blame someone else.

Throwing tea overboard was a cute little stunt that if it was done today would be condemned by EVERYONE as a foolish act that cost jobs.

Oh children....

what part of inalienable do you not understand?

...uh, you have a right to state grievances and make effective and legal change, not...march and disturb the state

...and let's be honest, if Americans protected their "inalienable" rights, we wouldn't have gotten to where we are now. This didn't happen over night.

___Which leads me to something I need to clarify___

I only say to do the best YOU can because, since time immemorial, the state is a power that is greater than yourself. It precedes your existence on this earth, it is the old terrestrial power that governs you. You are bound by laws. You do not act in aggression and anger NOW because of those laws. It keeps things going, for better or for worse, and there is nothing you can do about it except learning...and don't crucify me for saying this...to love. (no homo i swear)

Edit: Learning to love does not mean, you know, being a bitch and taking it up the ass. It means to treat another the way you'd like to be treated and all that jazz. If that was TRULY practiced, we wouldn't have the world we do. It doesn't matter how logical your arguments are for a better system of government, if you force it down people's throats instead of showing them it's because you love them, you're their enemy to their way of life; their existence. By protesting what should have been handled through voting and other means our system has in place, it shows the irresponsibility of our Republic to govern itself...but a willingness to act radically. That will not fly, and has never flown, but to allude to Hobbes and Locke: People are generally good, the state is not, and the legal methods of removing a bad regent must be followed or else the state gets out of control. When the state gets out of control, talking doesn't do anything...Only action. Fight the state and you're crushed, love your neighbor and you confuse the whole system.

Not to get dangerously political...but the state of Israel and Zionism (oh god...dont shoot me) wouldn't exist if people loved. The existence of the state gets stronger when people hate.

WTF are you talking about? You said protesting is un-American. its a fucking retarded comment. did you learn about the civil rights movement in gov. grade school, dumbfuck?

if you want to say Occupy Wall St is pointless and aimless, ok fine. but liberty requires eternal vigalance. you don't think the tea partiers were called terrorists in their day??? yet they "double dared ya" so that you could sit around showing off your ignorance of history and making retarded broad generalizations about how everyone should just STFU.

you are either hardcore trolling everyone or you don't know a goddamn thing about the history of the world.

you think man was handed liberty due to the good graces of their overlords? oh child....

...A whole bunch of stupid shit...
Man I tried SO HARD not to answer this stupid-ass post but sometimes my addictions get the better of me. You'd better not be trolling!

What you fail to see here is the real cause of the suffering.

If this republic was truly a democracy then you'd be right. But it's simply not.

You do not live in a democracy. Assuming you're in the USA, you live under what is called crony-capitalistic corporatism.

In a nutshell, your vote doesn't count at all. Corporations and large special interest groups have votes that count, not you. They control the government, not you. Not me. Not all the people collectively in our states. Not all the people across the whole US... It looks like we have a democracy, but we simply haven't had one of those in decades. Eisenhower told us exactly how we'd lose it and we did so promptly.

So if we can't be heard at the polls, how, pray tell, do we not have anything to complain about?

If our protests (a.k.a peaceful demonstrations of unrest) are met with tasers and teargas on a daily basis, how could we not have anything to complain about?

Bottom line is: One day a spark will ignite something. Until then, pretty much everyone not sucking the government tit hard has a shitload of a lot to complain about!

Don't let Fox news fear monger you, they don't want you talking bad about gov. but don't let them intimidate you

Have you read the FBI flyer saying that using proxies at an internet cafe is classified as a terriorist activity? How about always paying cash for the things you buy?
FBI “Communities Against Terrorism” Suspicious Activity Reporting Flyers | Public Intelligence

This country is fucked

You're a terrorist if you try to do anything outside of the matrix. If they can't track your movement then you're a threat.

People just allowed the elections to go by. People just allowed 2000-2008 happen. It happened. It was allowed to happen.

Of course all this bs will ignite...but...
*It won't ignite if people waste their energy protesting, thinking they're doing something.*

dude, WTF are you talking about? you are all over the place. now parades and blocking city streets is the issue? i thought you wanted hippies in parks to shut up? French Revolution=relevant, Tea Part=antiquated. you are too irrational to talk to.

so do you want people to sit by and allow things to happen and shut up OR NOT?!?

dude, what is wrong with your brain?!?!
