So i have a problem of my mind being too active, and I'm thinking of putting that to a good use and do brain dumps to eventually construct into a novel. Anybody else thought about writing a book/novel? but not for any specific profit/reason, but for enjoyment?

If you are going to create a book, write out an outline plan of what its going to be about and how its going to structured. Then as you material builds up you can evolve the plan into something more elaborate. I tried several times to write a book by brain dumping but the stuff I wrote was all over the place and I fizzled out. I was told to create an outlineplan by a successful author and it works really well. I have written several books now not novels but I do now have an ouline plan for one so there's a much greater chance of success.

I think its mainly because once you have a mental image of where you are going, all that brain activity is directed towards your end goal and it structures your thoughts
subconsciously to acheive it. Rather than rambling off in many diections.

Suppose its just another form of goal setting. But I promise you you'll get a whole lot further and faster whether its for fun or profit.

Go for it bro. If you crank a steady 5 pages per day, it takes a mere 2 months to finish your 300 page novel. But definitely construct an "outline" before you start writing. I know this, I used to write erotic stories.

You can write a novel about making no money as a affiliate, I'm sure you could finish it in a few days.

I'm actually half way through writing 2 books. I'm going to go POD (publish-on-demand, probably with CreateSpace) as it will be instant and truth be told I'm not confident I could get a real publisher.

But I'm in luck, I run 4 sites related to the subjects my books will be based on and combined I see around 20,000UV's a month. On top of that I write on the subject for The Examiner which sees a lot of traffic as well. Plus other various marketing methods I plan to use.

I've been working on one for the past 6 years or so. I kind of want to make it a screenplay and I kind of want to act in it.

I write short stories, even won a few contests on line.

I also was heavily into Guru style sales letters and emails. Made some decent coin writing emails freelance for a media company a while back.

Wrote a 50,000 word Non Fiction book about High Speed Precision Driving Techniques. This was one of the most difficult projects I have ever done. To try to explain in words to ordinary drivers some of the most complex things I was taught over the years by pro racers, pro driving instructors and also my own tactics was a bitch. It also includes some tips and training tactics from my sports psychologist -- great stuff that is!

The amount of times I had to re-read that to catch typos damn, I was fucking sick of that book. Finally I hired an editor who had pro rally experience from a racing magazine.

I'll probably break the Driving book into sections for ebook sales in the very near future. I haven't even looked at it in about two years but I think some of it is easy to understand and would greatly help any street driver.

So yeah I think its a great idea dude. Luv the 3'rs: reading, riting and racing.
