just wondering what your collective opinion was on the event darren and i threw (shouts to PKM for the top sponsor shot, it wasn't cheap).

overall, i think it was a success, but i've read a few blog posts on the subject and gathered up some of the criticism:

- weren't feeling the opening act, black rock city all stars (i thought they were sick)
- wanted me to rap a set or dj more like at past parties
- wanted rob hustle to get up on the mic for a set
- thought three six's ADD song approach of 30-second riffs was annoying
- were upset the knight himself sir mix-a-lot was a no show
- thought the females getting crazy was a little extreme
- thought the party ran a bit late
- not enough drugs

to be fair, it was dj paul's birthday, so he was crunkalicious rex 2011.

also, my headphones broke, so i wound up disco dropping a lot of my mixes like a boss. lol money.

please sound off in this thread and let a nerd know which of the above concerns you share, if any, and let me know how we can insure the next ball is a resounding success all around.

were tentatively looking to get snoop or weezer for the next event at adtech sf. feel free to holler at a scholar for more info.

love,
bryce

First of all, it was great to see the ladies acting up a little!!

I would have liked to see you preform. But liked you Djing also. Maybe a mix of both at next show!!

I hated that Sir Mix Alot was a no show.

No the show wasn't to long.

Over all I had a blast at the AB, Keep up the great work!!

i didn't get to go to the affiliate ball, but everyone else from the company got to and they all said they had a blast. we've all known you for a while and love when you're either dj'ing or performing your songs.

i think the ladies going wild was a good change from all of the other parties. you constantly see people saying 'sausage fest' and 'no ladies' when all the affiliate summit parties are talked about (besides a4d haha).

definitely at the next affiliate ball, whoever is there that is musically inclined, let them or make them go up on stage and sing a few songs. rob hustle, yourself and anyone else that's at the show, that'd be awesome to have genres clash.

while i havent posted shit about the party yet, i think the venues need to be smaller and the parties be invite only to prevent the awful sausage ratio (3 parties deep i know the deal) so it can be a real fucking party not just geeks standing around

i had a blast though

i've seen you perform and your pretty good. i missed affiliate ball in vegas but anything non rap would be a nice change. that being said weezer has my vote. i plan to be in san fran for ad-tech.

I had a fucking blast. Got shitty and like I said before, Shane Dollas went and talked to damn near every girl we could find.

1.) I was pretty upset that you and Hustle weren't on the mic.
2.) The opening act was hot garbage.
3.) I didn't mind Three 6 doing the chorus from all their songs. If you haven't listened to them, they have A HUGE library of songs to run through. I've been a fan of them since 1998. They got to most of their hit songs, but there were still a bunch of songs I would've loved to hear that they didn't get to.
4.) Who complained that the few females there were getting crazy? Blasphemy! The more, the merrier.
5.) I was too busy getting drunk, but I didn't see any drugs. Because if I did, I probably would have done them.

As a sponsor of the event, I thought it was a good party. Though I agree with the following:

- thought three six's ADD song approach of 30-second riffs was annoying
- were upset the knight himself sir mix-a-lot was a no show
- thought the females getting crazy was a little extreme
In regards to the females... not the dancers or the hosts, I'm talking about the dumb shit that three six was doing. It was okay for a while but it just kept going on and on and on and got old. They'd do a 30 second riff and then challenge someone to eat some chick's pussy out... do another 30 seconds and then talk about dumb shit for 10 minutes... I mean shit...

I went to almost all the parties, basically just wanted to check out the clubs and the highlight of the events. Got to this party just intime to see 3-6 Perform, and it was fun. Met up with Rob Hustle and had a cool time. Def the better event of the night.

BarMan has a point, but there's not much to save these parties. You can get a table at the Marquee and invite like 10-15 people. Or just have ASW on Thursday-Sunday, which should be way more ladies. Can't expect too much in vegas on a monday night? Had fun for what it was tho. v3ne.

I'm guessing you've never been to a rap concert?

- thought the females getting crazy was a little extreme
- thought the party ran a bit late

lol who complained about these two? Weirdo's.

Thanks for the invites but I was there for 10 minutes, grabbed a drink and left. It was just a bunch of dudes standing around 6 ugly chicks dancing in the middle by then. Plus, no open bar. It's vegas and you're supposed to be partying all night, not just from midnight on.

Took a cab to Marquee with AZN and A4D. XS afterwards with some other networks. From what I hear, I chose the better option.

Feel bad about not seeing Three6 though. Hope Barman sets up another sick party at Ad-tech SF

I really enjoyed the party (props to Yousif and PKM for helping me out) but I was expecting you and Rob Hustle to take the mic at some point.

Thanks for the feedback in this thread, love to hear more.

Here's what happened. We threw a monster event, had a very nice size crowd, the night was running smooth. I'm disappointed too that we didn't get a YT Cracker and Rob Hustle performance, but Three 6 Mafia played much longer then they were supposed to. They also got a little to crazy up there, probably because it was DJ Paul's birthday, but still, some people got turned off and left, others loved it and stayed. Artists are like a box of chocolates... Overall, the night was great.

Sir Mix A Lot called me to perform and had every intention, it was a nice promo thing for him that he wanted. Unfortunately, things happen and he never made it there that night. He called me while in Vegas too, I was surprised he didn't make it. He was excited to perform, guess not that excited.

The opener was Black Rock City All Stars and they are a great dubstep group with a great sound, especially on that system. Probably not for everyone, but we wanted to add a hip mix of music into the night. Our opening DJ, DJ Evan, he played classic hip hop to open up the night and was great for networking. Not too loud yet. YT Cracker did spin for a while leading up to Three 6 Mafia and played some great stuff, crowd loved it. I think I even heard his hit single "LOL Money", the remix.

I think the sponsors got lot's of visibility which is the main goal since it's the sponsors party. The hype and buzz around the show was great for our first event at the ASW.

For the next event, we're changing things up. We're not doing only rap shows, we're doing everything. We've already locked in Steel Panther to open up. They're by far the greatest rock cover band in the world and they're the most famous cover band. Do a search on youtube and watch how funny and talented they are. We're working on a huge name rock star to sit in with them and perform a few songs. I can't tell you who, but I can say they play lot's of this bands music. Vince Neil? Bret Michaels? Axel? Bon Jovi? Not telling yet.

We will still add another huge name, maybe Ice Cube, E-40, Busta Rhymes, BoB, Kesha and others we have on the list.

The venue is at 1015 Folsom Nightclub San Francisco | 1015 Folsom - 103 Harriet, it holds 2000 people, walking distance from the W, just 4 blocks.

We'll open up the registration process any day now. About to invite our sponsors back and look to add some new ones.

I hope lot's of you can make it.

I'd like to thank all of the sponsors on that last event and also thank Barman, YTC, Rob Hustle and Shawn Collins for their support. I promise you that these events will grow and everyone will have at least one of these that will be your favorite live show/party of all time. I'm here for at least a decade. :love-smiley-085:
