Hey Everybody,

I'm pretty new to this game and digging around wickedfire for answers to a ton of questions. One of my biggest obstacles over the last few weeks has been gaining approval from the Affiliate Networks. While several have simply not responded to my application, a couple have actually denied me. Can anyone enlighten me as to some of the tips and tricks that will facilitate approval?

Much Love

Reach out to the networks personally and explain your situation and who you are. Trust me, the networks are ALWAYS looking for new partners and the main disqualifier is affiliates that sign up and don't respond. Now most networks unfortunately are not as diligent as they should be about following up on applications but if you pre-emptively reach out to THEM while being transparent about who you are, and your distribution methods there should be no question about approval.

It's pretty easy... you can usually just say your new and planning to build a landing page for an offer and send PPC traffic to it and they'll approve you.

I also say to call them after submitting your application. In some cases I presented my sites; in some cases I didn't. In all cases when I called and described in detail exactly how I would be promoting the offers -- with or without a site to showcase -- I got approved.

Showing a site is good; showing marketing knowledge and some enthusiasm for the network's offers is also good.

Best of luck to you.

Get somebody to vouch for you.. in like flint..

It is kinda like the Mafia..

Pick up the phone and CALL them.
Be an accountable REAL person.
Not just some anonymous possible scammer hiding behind only an email address.

If you are a newb, tell them. I'm sure some network won't mind helping you out.

right-on Evan! BTW - good to see you in here :)

Bottom line Networks are shit without Affiliates we need you. Networks need the kick ass whale as well as a massive school of little fish - that combo makes a solid network. However, what kills a Network is the fraud guys and they are everywhere and getting worse. So the reason its now harder to get into Networks is because networks have to look through every application with a fine tooth comb, more than ever before. If for some reason you look at all like one of the fraud guys- you will never get in - what makes this hard for the network is that the look of the fraud guy changes daily.. Right now fraud publishers are paying people up to $100 to call and get them into networks, these people never get in or get kicked out right away, but the time and money it takes away from the Network is serious and will effect all of us.

I have seen a ton of posts in forums about "how to get into networks" it's funny one forum had a step by step and as soon as that went up I started hearing the same bull shit story from people trying to join my network - i mean they read off this step by step word for word. I now hate that forum more.....

As a network I wish we could just let everyone in - but those days are over for sure. Expect things to continue to get difficult - photo ID, address verification, trade references, all sorts of stuff will have to be implemented. Anyone out there have any ideas on how to identify fake publishers? If we can find a way to keep them out faster we can make it easier for the real guys...

First of all, fill the application form with your real information and a valid phone number. After submitting your application, call the network right away. Don't wait for them to call you. If they call you and you don't attend the call, most of the times they will reject you. I know most of the newbies are afraid of talking on the phone but believe me its not that scary. They will only ask you few questions regarding your promotion methods. If you are really serious about affiliate marketing, you won't have problems answering these questions.

Getting Approval

Getting approved shouldn't be too challanging as long as you seem legitimate and you are very thorough as to what you offer. I am an affiliate manager at adfinity, and I approve or deny affiliates hourly. I look for where the person is located geographically, how legitimate does their website look, is it appealing to some of our programs, and does the person fill in all the descriptive information on their application so I can get a great feel for what the website promotes. This way I have a good idea if everyone will benefit.

If I have further questions I then contact the applicant and ask how they will promote a program on their website and determine if I should approve. Might be a good idea to list how you will promote a program right on your app.

We want to approve because we want to build our network and have great business happening on for all! We just need to know who you are, and that you fit in well with our programs.

Good luck, and I invite you to check out adfinity anytime.
