I'm looking through my referral commissions on a certain network...

Whomever you may be...

THANK YOU for making my car payment for me for the last 2 consecutive months. I guess I owe you a beer or something.

ive never had much luck with referrals. Ive gotten maybe 20 neverblue signups and they have generated a whopping $10.34 for me.
 
So... do any of you encourage your sub-affiliates to contact you for help getting started? Or is it pretty much a random thing, with neither you nor the sub-affiliate having much of an idea who is signed up under whom?

That could get time consuming, yes. But there are a few WF members who are open to being contacted via IM by anyone, sub-affiliate or note. I would think that could help you make a lot more money from your sign-ups.

On my blog especially, I always encourage people to hit me up if they have questions or need help getting started. For this reason I think, I get much more referral commissions than your average joe. Not because more people want to sign up, but if you help people get started, they're much more likely to make some referral cash for you.
 
Nicky, I agree, but I found trying to train people too time consuming, not to mention disappointing.

Many come to you excited asking you to teach them, and then they spend 3 months deciding on a template.

Not everyone is cut out to be an affiliate, we are a crazy bunch.
 
For me, I never really know who is signing up underneath me.
All I get to see is their affiliate ID...

Its pretty much one guy making me the affiliate commissions...

Hes made a little under $15,000 this month
Netting me $280.96
Funny thing is, the rest of my referrals (28 of them) make me another combined $8.69

thanks to the guy who made $9 (in several months) with neverblue, I'm so proud of that Referral Revenue: $0.18
