straight outta dogtown
Im 2 hours away from brussels, not sure if I should go there when the tickets are released for sale or hope to buy a few on the internet. Was wondering if anyone went this year and how you get these tickets early, or even at all. I heard when they released 80k tickets online a year ago, 2 million people logged on trying to purchase.

Tickets usually go on sale in February. The first half is for Belgian people only. The second half is sold a week or so later and is available for the rest of the world.

They are sold out in a femtosecond you will have to get them on ebay for 1k+ so worth it though.

How hard is it to purchase once the first ones are released in brussels? Like is it on some cyber monday camping shit?

It's an online sale as well. I checked what the newspaper said around that time and they were sold out in the first 12 minutes. The hosting service couldn't handle the load and they upgraded to heavier servers for the international sale a week later. I had 2 friends trying to get a ticket for the Belgian sale, but both failed. You had to preregister to be able to get in the queue. I think it requires a credit card with an address in Belgium, or a Belgian bank account.

I didn't go last year. Failed to buy a ticket in 2012 as well, but I won two through some contest.

Thanks for explaining. I actually thought they put these up for sale throughout stores in belgium. My girl has some relatives out there so maybe they'll help work this out if I can't order online. Good thing is, I don't mind spending $1k+.

In that case, I'd try Viagogo. It's a marketplace for tickets and one of the few (if not the only) place not on Tomorrowland's blacklist.

Another thing, there are rumors in the Belgian newspapers today that Tomorrowland will be 2 weekends next year, because it's the 10th edition. No official statement yet, but there will be a press release about it tomorrow.

Wow. 2 weekends. I thought it was like 3 days? Thanks for the link.

I'm so ignorant to the details about how this works. Do you have to buy separate tickets for dreamville and carry camping tents out there or they're renting them out?

Also i'm turning 19 next year, hope that'll be fine like as far as purchasing alcohol.

In Belgium you can buy/drink beer/wine from 16, and spirits from 18. Alcohol will probably be the least of security/the police's concerns I'd expect, anyway -- even if you were underage.

It used to be 3 days, yes. I guess next year it will be 2x 3 days or 2x 2 days. More info will be available tomorrow.

If you want to sleep on the camping, you have to buy DreamVille tickets as well. This year it was like $50 extra for 4 nights. That is if you bring your own tent. You can also buy a Easy Tent pass, which includes a Tomorrowland tent, air mattress and sleeping bag. It costs another $170 extra (so $220 for camping + tent). You have to buy the Easy Tent pass with 2 or 4 people. Last year a 2 Person Full Madness + DreamVille Easy Tent 5 day Pass cost $1,134.

Alcohol is no problem, as mituozo said.

Yeah, I wanted to know that. They're probably strict on things like bringing in drugs and what not, but even if it were illegal ain't nothing money and good manners can't solve.

Great. So I'll sign up for one of those waiting lists not to miss out on this.

Certainly they will appear to be strict on drugs. Much like any type of organisation running that kind of event, they understand that a large chunk of the crowd take drugs, and have to do enough to appear they're not accepting of it (or lose their license).

In the end, security would rather deal with people taking the drugs associated with that scene, than people who are half way through their second bottle of vodka in an attempt to compensate for a lack of it.

If you're ballin' you can also do the VIP chalets instead of slumming it in a tent.

Nah, I enjoy camping actually. Slumming it out would be sleeping on the lawns imo

What you're saying makes a lot of sense. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy my sobriety but I wouldn't mind bringing in some weed I bought in amsterdam the day before.

2:18 and on, that shit cray

Care to update this thread, like what are they saying in belgium today -- is the 2 week thing official or still just rumors? Pm me if you want.

They confirmed the rumors today. So there will be 2 Tomorrowland-weekends in 2014: July 18 to 20 and July 25 to 27. The line-ups for the two weekends will be more or less the same. 50% of the tickets are reserved for Belgian people. More details on the ticket sales and the line-up will be released on January 13.

It being 2 weekends is a one time thing, because it's the 10th edition. But there are some rumors that they're already requested permission to have a 2 weekend event again in 2019 and 2024 (for the 15th and 20th edition).

Been listening to hardwell's set from 2013 all week. Probably had the most productive week I've had in the past few months as a result.
