Top Article Directories?

I would really appreciate the help of some of you more experienced bloggers here.

What are your best performing article directories as far as drivng traffic to your sites is concerned?

I use Ezine Articles, GoArticles and Article Dashboard - all high quality and all do follow. Need to submit quality articles to get them approved.
 
These 3 are probably the only ones you need to worry about,

(at last, something where I can stop lurking and contribute!!!)

These three are probably the best but you could also set up a Google Alert so you are notified when new articles appear with your keywords. This tells you which article directories Google is keeping good track of and if Google likes them, I like them!
 
Keep in mind that if you rank these articles, the directory will control your bank account, if you don't build your own site and make sure it is going to outrank an article. For instance, if you build links to an EzineArticle, and they have good ad block coverage all over the page, the page is going to leak badly before they even get to your link. They also will delete your content one day if they so choose, and, bam, bye-bye money. Granted, if you are new and aren't that great at site building then use article sites to get started, but just know that you are probably going to be making someone else rich, and they will probably screw you soon.
