Anyone got opinions on making a choice between Tracking 202 Pro and Prosper202?

Is it worth paying monthly for tracking202 pro?

Just wondering because I see most people talking about using Prosper which I was going to start using but tracking202 pro sounds pretty good.

T202 Pro is really useful if most of your traffic comes from Google/Yahoo/MSN. I would stick to Prosper if most of your traffic is from other sources (FB, MSP, etc).

"Integration with the major PPC networks (Google, Yahoo, MSN). T202 Pro will automatically sync all your PPC data from your accounts and display the information for you beautifully. No more going by “estimated” click costs and manually entering data. You’ll get real data to work with now and your metrics will be exact. Easily one of the best features.

Integration with affiliate networks. No more updating your subids in T202, T202 Pro automatically pulls affiliate network data and plugs it into the account. Along with that it’ll then automatically update the profit, percent change, and things like that.

Keyword analysis. This is something that NO other tracking program has. You can go into your account and see what keywords converted which is great. But with T202 Pro, you can click on the root keyword (if it’s a broad match) and see exactly which long tails converted, and which didn’t. For example you can add the keyword “credit report” and bid on it, get some data, and then see what long tails converted. Make more customized ad groups for those specific keywords, and bam, a la profit.

Mobile phone app. If you’re out and want to check and make sure your campaigns are running smoothly, you have the ability to do that with Stats 202.
All the goodies that tracking this fickle will provide. Keyword analysis, IP blocking, split testing, etc. Optimizing your campaigns will be a lot easier and all managed in 1 place. You can change bids in T202 Pro and it’ll update right into your PPC accounts without you having to manually do it in each PPC account"

This should answer your questions.

ok ok
I'm so n00b with this so have patience with me..

I always thought that prosper202 was highly recommended because its run on your own server rather than tracking 202 being a remote application (am I correct there?), therefore your details are more secure. Is this an issue with tracking202 pro?

Is anyone here actually using T202 Pro?

I'll also ask this here instead of starting a new thread..

If you use any of the 202 services does that rule out the need to use Google Conversion Tracking in adwords?

I only just applied for clickbooth and they are asking for a tracking pixel from google/yahoo etc - why? And do most affiliates use this google conversion tracking at all?

I have tinkered with T202 Pro. No matter how secure Tracking202 pro is, it is expected that some people will have problem with trust. I think I can vouch for a lot of people when I say Steven and Wes are like the Nuns of this industry.

https://pro.tracking202.com/features/ this link has a lot of answers too.

Ya, I would have no problem running T202, but prefer to work on my own domain/server.

I use the google conversion tracking along with P202 usually because it just makes it easier sometimes, but P202 is still more accurate imo.

I freaked out this morning when I realised how expensive 202pro was going to be now it's out of beta. But I don't care. It's totally worth every cent AFAIK.

One of the best things is that you never redirect through the 202 server so you never have to worry about losing a lead coz their server breaks.

Since P202 is now open-source, it'd always be possible for someone with enough programming knowledge to program the pro features into a version of P202, themselves. Frankly, T202 Pro seems to be on the cheap end of similar programs, and most bid-management and ROI-related search scripts out there at the moment are remotely hosted.

i've been beta testing it.....its really nice to see which long tails converting on generic keywords bidded. If you can trust them, then go for it. Thats the only option.

i'm tempted but i'm still pissed off by the pricing structure. i just don't get it, it costs more if you do more clicks but you get no extra features?? to cover server load presumably. this i could understand if you wasn't paying on a per click basis as well. one way or the other would have made more sense to me, but hey whatever.

Yeah that's something that could be made a little more intuitive. Maybe they need a beta period for the billing stucture too.

Try it....they are giving a 7 FREE day trial and you can save 10% off your first 3 months if you use the coupon they gave me: ADHUSTLER

No i'm not making commissions if you use it so don't jump down my throat.

I don't agree with the pricing structure and I think something needs to be added to make it real time. For example like p202 then once they have yesterdays data then update it with the exact stuff.

Personally I like p202 and prefer it over t202 pro.

Using the PPC engine's API is great, but the new features aren't technically spectacular by any means. Not sure if it's a jump over P202 justifiable with that cost.

Since P202 is now open-source, it'd always be possible for someone with enough programming knowledge to program the pro features into a version of P202, themselves.

I'm willing to jump on this. Anyone actively developing for P202? I can work off that, else I'll put it up on GitHub publicly and we can get all the programmers here to contribute.

well been messing with it all day via the free trial. i won't be signing up, its buggy as hell and i'm not risking my clicks on a v1.0 piece of software. sorry wes but so far:

couldn't sign in (add) any affiliate networks
200+ problem posts in the forum <- bad sign
lots of complaints about the api costs - why oh why didn't they include a manual update system option??? wtf - imagine the costs of syncing a 10000+ word campaign and daily. ridiculous. now imagine you have 30 of them.
24 hour delay
stupid per click pricing model.
looks bad when even the creators are advising you to test new campaigns in prosper and move them over once they are profitable to save costs!! wtf thats what i want tracking for i can work the profitable ones out in my head.
lots of features "in the works" : thanks i'll wait til then

i'm the first person to give credit where its due but for the cost i'm going to have a custom tracker designed. $1k should do it (about 2 months of t202pro usage for me)
its just a database with a few pretty graphs and some pixels at the end of the day

even if you developed it yourself, wouldn't you have to pay for adwords api integration to get the real "cost" data for your campaigns? i'm not positive, but i believe google charges for this...

there's other ways to get your data than the api. stats junky and ppc coach don't charge for api usage. the point being you should have the option to upload say an account snapshot from adwords editor (aea file) or a click report if you want or not if you have the funds. some guys are looking at $60+ bills a day and thats just ridiculous.
though i think just the stats data is running at about $0.5 a day. its the account syncs that are the problem and i have 15 of them plus you have to resync every time you change anything, an extra keyword, a new ad, account resync.
