I'm gonna set up an arbitrage site, ppc -> affiliate sales.
What I wanna do is to track the ctr for the affiliate links, and from which search phrases they came from. Can I use google analytics for this?

If I do it like this

Is those 1. and 2. different methods or is it 2 steps. If it's 2 steps it doesnt seem like I can track it that way. Idiotic by google to name it "How do I use Google Analytics to track a 3rd-party shopping cart? " when you probably don't have access to add code to that 3rd party site :crap:

Any other script I can use to track this?

Since you have no access to the conversion page and can't insert code there you really have no good way to track what converts only what gets page clicks.

The only thing I can think of is if you use your ad network's sub-id tracking (if they have one) and php to auto generate the offer link to include the referral search terms.

I briefly played with this at azoogle but their reporting is horrendous. You get the stats but getting them out is a pain.

Thanks for your answers, Andrews link got me digging a bit more after looking into that source code of the script.
The answer was at analytics FAQ all the time :D

And palmerville, ye I was thinking of that too. As there are 2 things that should be tracked for 100% statistics, your's is the 2nd thing.
1. from which keywords people come to the site and which ctr these gives to the ads.
2. Which conversion rate the affiliate offer gives when the people has clicked the ads, from different search keywords from the site.
Well, I could say it's a CCBill affiliate, and ccbill doesnt seem to be able to track which page the conversion was generated from, neither it has a sub-id tracking what i can see.
EDIT: After a closer look it seems like it can track referer url so weee :D I know how to track that now then!
