He doesn't need a lawyer. If he's getting sued, actually like filed in court sued by CNN over something he did with the domain cnnnews13.com he needs to turn over the domain and beg for mercy. That is, if he's being actually sued -- there's no need for them to sue him in light of the fact that WIPO proceedings would just take the domain from him for $1,500 with virtually no discussion -- there is no legit use of the phrase "CNN news" that does not relate to the company CNN. Any argument against that would be patiently sat through, and then disregarded.
If he has a basic C&D, vs actually having been sued, then he might talk to an attorney about it. But if he's doing some stupid shit he shouldn't be doing on an obvious TM domain as in the example, he should just immediately turn over the domain and go do something smart with his life, before shit gets expensive. No need to waste time or money on a lawyer when you know you're wrong.
