Transgenders. Boys want to be girls. Girls want to be boys. And Chaz Bono keeps scaring us all.
A recent case is being reported on CNN (click here for the story) involving this cute little girl...
She thinks she should be able to use the girls' restroom at her school like all the other little girls. The problem is, she was born with boy parts.
The state of Colorado is fine with the kid being a girl. The feds seems to be fine with it, too, as evidenced by the passport they issued him/her. But the school's officials ain't having it. In their words...
And so attorneys have been called. Swords are being rattled. Crude jokes are being crafted. And somewhere, a politician is licking his lips for the chance to create his/her legacy.
Oh, and just because...
By the way, if you have the time, here's a very good article on transgender from the November 2008 issue of The Atlantic:
A Boy's Life - The Atlantic
* Editor's note: the principal of Eagleside Elementary School said no such thing. We apologize for any confusion or offense this may have caused.
