Alright I was talking about this in another thread..
I just setup a new site on a shared hosting account. I setup a google sitemap, and it came back with this error:
We were unable to crawl your Sitemap because we found a robots.txt file at the root of your site but were unable to download it. Please ensure that it is accessible or remove it completely.
Upon checking, I saw there was no robots.txt in the root. Even uploaded a robots.txt and still got the same error.
Then I checked to see what googlebot sees.
A ton of bullshit keywords show up, 90% of which have nothing to do with my page:
1. bible 2. faithful 3. insurance 4. domain 5. godaddy 6. lawyers 7. loans 8. god 9. name 10. word 11. aretheyfaithful 12. audio 13. bankruptcy 14. baptist 15. biz 16. books 17. business 18. car 19. cards 20. churches 21. credit 22. dvd 23. gobible 24. god's 25. health 26. hosting 27. icann 28. jobs 29. names 30. personal 31. rental 32. ringtone 33. ringtones 34. surgery 35. teaching 36. travel 37. video 38. accident 39. accredited 40. airline 41. america's 42. angels 43. annual 44. apparel 45. believers 46. besttones4u 47. book 48. broadband 49. builders 50. calls

Now I don't know what's going on, but this is starting to really irritate me.
Any ideas?

What happens when you try to upload the robots.txt file? Does your ftp client/file manager still not show it?
Try opening yourdomain.com/robots.txt in a browser or http get it in telnet and see what you get back.
I would try that and also look in .htaccess for any monkey business.
