Having a hard time picking against Edgar, such a nice guy. But I think the leg kicks and speed will be to much. He does have a chance if he make the Brazilian tired.

Also some love for Jon Fitch.
 


Any idea how long until Overeem fight? Not really interested in seeing child sized fighters go at it. Overeem-Bigfoot is going to be vicious. My bet is on Overeem, though he could be in trouble if Bigfoot gets him down and starts going Fedor-gnp on him. What happened to Fedor btw, did he retire?

I'd say roughly 45 minutes from the time of this post.

Starts at 10est and runt fight will last ~17 min max

Fedor retired after beating a few cans to end his career on a win streak.

I'm most excited for Fitch-Maia and Silva-Overeem.

I think Reem will get put away in the second. I think his striking and grappling are over rated.

You may be right, due to Silvas sheer size and power, but clearly anyone winning the K1 championship has world class striking. Though Overeem is more of a clinch fighter than a striker. His knees are his main weapon.

I'm also stunned at how anyone can look forward to a fight with snoozefest Fitch. You must definitely be an american former high school wrestler or something?

Overeem is definitely one of the best pure strikers but I just don't see him transition it to MMA as well as he used to.

I really enjoy ground/grappling battles and Fitch/Maia are two of the best in the division imo.

I do Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in my free time but never wrestled.

Grappling is tough as fuck and I appreciate the cardio and level of thought that goes into it.
 
Yeah, I can appreciate good grappling particularly good BJJ and Judo takedowns. Wrestlers get some undeserved criticism, but Fitch/GSP etc. don't try to finish fights enough. Imo. top position is scored too much in the UFC.

I would agree on all counts especially the top control getting scored too much.
 
What do you think about Little Nog vs Evans? I think Evans will win easily if he sticks to takedowns, although I'm rooting for Nog.

Yup exactly. I also think Rashad can outstrike him but Rashad has a suspect chin imo.

Ignorant statement. Overeem did great but was arrogant about his defense. Gassing out has always been his weakness. Did that here too. Excellent gameplan by bigfoot. He is just that good and will beat JDS or Cain with ease.
