Ive been sending him emails and messages through his site ( garysimon.net ) for 1 week everyday almost and he is not answering... Ive paid him and he's done a logo for me, revisions were done and everything, so the logo has been done for a while now, but i just need the source files... I sold this logo to a client of mine and the client needed it freaking 1 week ago, argh...

anyone knows him ? i just need him to release the vector files. man... i hope he isnt on vacation or something.

Sorry about that man! The project has been updated with the files... Note to everyone out there, don't try installing any CS4 products on the win7 64bit beta more than twice - you'll rip your eyeballs out trying to get them to install correctly again, had to reformat and lost emails and all that good stuff ;)

i do need them, and yes i was lazy to install this piece of junk software then, but nonetheless i was downloading / installing it a few minutes ago just as i received an email from gary... damn... I almost had to use aim...

LoL better yet, don't risk putting a beta OS as your primary OS on your primary work machine. :D, let alone without some kind of backup ritual.

Ok, If you don't like the original software, you have two decent choices if you just need to 'talk' to someone.

1) Trillian (what I used when I was on a PC)
2) AdiumX (what I use now that I'm on a mac)

Both clients let you connect to a large array of chat interfaces from one single client (like how I have aim, icq, msn, and y! on adium), without the extra bullshit you normally get with the original messenger.

When you got something important to do, it helps to have redudency in communication. Don't rely simply on email or pm, but at the very least have three means (email, pm, im, or email, pm, phone), with least one of them being an instant method.

And seriously... while I don't exactly bear any ill will towards you... saying you're too lazy to install aim just for a moment to get the files you desperately need, just made me throw up a lil in my mouth. Just how badly did you need it? Fortunately dreamache came around, but what if he didn't, and had not received that email after the reformat, but was sitting idle and ready on Aim? That would have been a painless 5 minutes.

First thanks for the tips,

Second, about my lazyness, the only reason why i was "lazy" ( i actually was busy working on something rush for another client, not watching porn or something ) is because after starting this thread i was able to pushback the delivery ( again ) until wednesday... I still needed the files and i did plan on installing aim after my rush with my other contract, and thats exactly what i did, altho it was useless because gary showed up before i could use aim... I never said i was not going to install it, i just said i didnt have it... and that aim sucks.

anyways, the situation is resolved, thanks to everyone who replied, and im sorry if i offended some of you because i didnt install aim as SOON as i saw jill_domains's post ...
