Hi Guys

Ive got an installation of 3.8.6 on one server with all the threads and posts in

and a new install of 4.1.4 on another server.

I want to import all the threads etc from the old version onto the new install.

What do I need to do.

Please note ive done a fresh install rather than an upgrade.

Is there a way to do it?

Cheers!
Tom

Yeah i tried reimporting the mysql database from the old one , but it messed everything up, i think the database structure must be different in v4 than v3 maybe?

Do you have a valid license, if so open up a support ticket? vBulletin support has been quite good to me in the past, if not - do you have a valid vbSEO license (If you do have vbSEO installed?) They're also great for customer support regarding any vBulletin issues.

Unfortunately, I've never used vBulletin pre 4.0.0 so i'm not familar with any 3.X.X conversion/update, sorry.

Their forum is pretty good about answering your questions with clear instructions on how to do something. I recently had a similar question and they answered it on the forum.
