Hey all,
I've just created a local business directory for my small town. My (unoriginal) idea is to use this to generate a little money but mostly as a jumping off point to sell local search to businesses.
Here's my question: Do you start hitting these folks with the sell right from the start, i.e. in their registration email, or do you let them submit, maybe contact them to upsell, then get into other services you offer?
Does getting a lot of info in a registration email turn your customer off? Make them more likely to want to talk?
