I have a site in the works right now that I need specific game retailers that I can directly link their video games and pull a decent commission.
I already have GameStop, Amazon, and Best Buy.
Anyone know of anyone else?

Thought about it and might run it.
Its comparing a lot of prices though and I would hate to be that asshole that has a game for $60 on Amazon, $60 on Gamestop, and $.01 on Ebay. Lol.

You can try Walmart. They are at Linkshare. Maybe use GameFly for video game rental subscriptions since it will probably pay out more than a sale of an individual game.

I hears its tough to make it in the game affiliate business because of the fact that commissions are so low. You gotta pull alot of volume.

Thanks! Definitely will check out Play-Asia and Wal-Mart.
I am running almost like a Pricegrabber type site for just games so as many retailers as possible is ideal. Hoping to pull large amounts of volume.
Adding all these games sucks though. Lol.

Does anyone know of something I can run that will automatically pull the prices on everything instead of constantly updating it. Or if it is possible to even write code like that at all?

I am running Joomla on the site.

Hmmm... I'm trying to figure out a way to run Gamefly subscriptions on there. Right now it is bannerless but might toss up a "Sponsored by Gamefly" thing up there.

Trying to make it look less like I'm trying to sell shit and more like I'm just trying to provide a service.

Yeah, video game commissions are extremely low. A while back, a rather hyped up game was released and I owned [nameofgame.net]. I threw up a forum and a blog. I got tons of traffic and a whole lot of people preording the game through my site. But, the earnings were so low overall (compared to the time it took me to research and update the site with news, etc) that I swore I'd never even bother with it again. The forum is still active but I don't even update the site at all. Not worth it IMO.

You could put sponsored by Gamefly or I would go more with a promotion type of deal where you just put "Sign up now for a free trial with Gamefly" which is what the offer usually is anyways but make them feel like they are getting something.

Sure the margin on games is low... it's why I suggested Play Asia.
It has way more than just games, and you should be targeting those sales.

Things like old school NES style USB gamepads. One guy buys one, his friends come over, love the fucking thing, and he's like "Oh, I got it over at this site..." BAM! More traffic for you and possibly more sales because while they're stocking up on game controllers, they tend to see some other shit they like too.

What a popular video game blog that was targeted towards a certain game did was just buy 30 copies of the game from a distributor at a bulk discount and resold them on the website. Instead of getting .80 cents off of each sale they ended up making around $6-$7 off of each sale. Now it would be tough if you did not target a certain game but even if you know which games will sell well on your blog you may even want to go this route. I would go with the rental subscription companies as they pay out a lot better on the affiliate route.

Look into product feeds. Most online merchants with affiliate programs have these. It will require some custom coding though.
