I would be buying except that I just transferred all my money out of my brokerage account to my checking so I could keep my AM cash flow going.. boo hoo =[

Call Schwab to try and get in.

I set my limits for wensday morning, going to hope for the best.

$37 - $42 a share at open

Can I setup an etrade account?
/noob questions

For future reference, Etrade will give you a taste on IPO's on newer accounts to keep you interested in trading. You get a limited buy and have to hold on to them for a certain length of time.

That's the great thing about ETrade. They underwrite a lot of IPOs and can get you some sweet deals if you hold some cash there.

if Mastercard's history is any indicator, this should be a good long. (mastercard up 300% from $46 closing price on IPO day!)

in at fidelity with 150k

Just a thought:

This will probably be a bright spot in a dreary market. It might pop and make a good short for a little while.

If you do not get in early I would hold off until later.

BTW I am waiting until the options trade to buy some leaps and sit back for the ride.

Reminder this is tomorrow.

Im down for 5000 shares, going to hold long term for a hefty return(hopefully).

Visa's profit doubled to $424 million in the quarter ended Dec. 31 and revenue rose 76 percent to $1.49 billion. Revenue at Visa and MasterCard has climbed as consumers pay for more purchases with credit and debit cards instead of cash.

Visa raised $17.9 MMM @ $44/share. Still a bargain at $50 and I think a lot of daytraders will be in and out all day providing buy opportunities if you didn't make the IPO

Looks like most of them are noobs when it comes to shares and trading........lol

You're gonna see this industry hit as hard as the mortagage industry. They're only going public to let others take the massive hit and try to survive in this recession soon to be renamed depression.

Why do you say that? Visa is a payment processing company. They make their money off of how many times people using their credit cards, not the interest that is earned from lending the consumers money. The banks have all of that responsibility.
