I don't do this stuff very often if at all, but it's for a good cause, so i thought i'd throw it out for you guys.

I joined a Breaking Bad lookalike contest on FB and was chosen as one of the 5 finalists lol. If i win the contest, i'll be giving the money to pay for an expensive operation to have a possibly cancerous tumor removed from a special American Mastiff Puppy named Stanley.

He's huge at 210lbs, but only 3 years old and is a great pup. Of course we want to see him healthy and happy and the prize money would go to pay for this operation.

If you vote for me you'll get 3 joyous things in return:

  1. You can laugh/make fun of my ridiculous rendition of Hector Salamanca (Tio) from Breaking Bad
  2. You'll be helping a great puppy get an expensive operation
  3. You'll receive a FREE Yelp scraper that I made with Ubot Studio

The Yelp scraper scrapes all relevant info for local businesses based on your keyword and spits it out into a CSV file. Definitely helpful for local SEO and shit like that.

Unfortunately, it's not multi-threaded...but it might only take like 10-15 min to make the whole spreadsheet for you if you have a competitive keyword like Doctors or something.

So if you want to help just do the following:

  1. Go to this link - Vulture - Click to Vote | Facebook
  2. "Like" Vulture magazine to get into the voting area
  3. Vote for me. I'm at the bottom (dressed as Hector Salamanca)...crazy old man for anyone who hasn't seen Breaking Bad
  4. Share your vote on your FB wall (using the prompt that pops up)
  5. After you vote for me, just send me a PM saying you voted along with the % of the votes I have (just so i know you actually voted).

**Note that it doesn't work on mobile FB for some reason

I will send you the download link for the Yelp scraper, which you can use as you see fit.

The contest ends today, so I need all the votes I can get!

Very generous dude, but I wouldn't feel comfortable taking donations in that way. The operation will probably be about $1000 and insurance doesn't kick in till we pay $600 out of pocket, which is why the contest money was good.

If i took your money, we probably couldn't get the operation right away anyway cuz we'd have to make up the huge difference which we obviously don't have right now...but thanks so much for the gesture!
 
Tensegrity is a good guy and a good friend of mine. In fact, he's one of the coolest and most down to earth people I know.

We used to be roommates many years ago. He's also a badass cook, if I do say so myself. Many a meal was smashed while drunk in our living room lol.

Go vote for him if the contest is still running. He's getting no personal gain out of this, only trying to help out that dog.
