Wait! Annoying Exit Pop Thingys

You know (usually on some spammy slaes page) when you either click the back button or close tab button?

When a box pops up saying "Wait! We'll give you something extra. Click cancel to stay on the page"

Anyone tested them?

Results?

Am thinking of testing them, but really don't want to piss people off on the site I am thinking of.
 


Back when I was doing PPC they were good as hell tbh. The "CTR" (I put in quotes because it's not technically a click thru" put my pass-through from lander to offer around 85% but I had a damn good popup. :)

PS - Who cares if you're gonna piss them off, they're going to leave anyway. Though I wouldn't use this on anything other than a lander.
 
It is incredible but they sell.

Some people take out their credit card and buy the shit after the seeing the popup. about 1% (which is alot considering the number of pops that were on my pages) in my experience.
 
I'm looking for a decent script that actually works. I need something that will pop a small aweber type form on exit.

Not looking for the "wait..." default exit pop.
 
Pity those things look like shit and ppls natural reaction is to hit cancel since they are so confusing. I used to have a js fade exit on Lps and it did deliver leads.

Just looking for something a little better, something that can include an aweber form on exit.

That's the beauty of it, 'cancel' is what keeps them on the page, its the 'continue' button they want to hit if they wish to 'continue' to close the page.

Only way you'll be able to include an aweber form is how I did it for a client, first the dialog comes up and when they click cancel, then the aweber form comes up.
