Wall Art Suggestions?

I'm looking to buy some art to throw up on my walls, I was either thinking of some kind of modern art, or some kind of ancient war scene. Just wondering if you guys knew of any places online that had nice work that's not too expensive (I'm not trying to spend thousands).

Right now I'm mainly looking for a pretty big piece to put over my couch.

My favorite modern movements are Art Deco and Futurism

Gustave Dore has a couple of good battle scenes I think. His Divine Comedy prints are awesome.

If you don't have the stomach to get a Goatse on canvas then I would stick with MagicHat's suggestion.

Original amateur art pieces from etsy can be pretty cool if you find an artist that matches your taste.

Do you want original pieces? If you're fine with prints and such, just go on eBay and type in your favorite artist(s) + canvas or print. There are some decent looking framed canvas prints for relatively low prices. I bought a 60x40" Jasper Johns canvas print a while ago, and it was well priced for such a large format if I remember correctly.

One of my clients has a sweet collection that he has from a local artist. I'm sure he'll chime in shortly. The artists name is El Moises. Not my style, but def cool. I'd go either either a local artist from a gallery, or get some wall decals. One of my favorite's is from Skype's office, it has a lit up space view of the US. Pretty sweet. I'm going to some local galleries this weekend to see what I can pick up.
