hey,

i know loads of you use very good techniques (such as testimonials, putting in well known brands (eg, as seen on oprah/cnn news) for mainstream affiliate stuff on your landing pages. anyone got any experience/ideas for adult stuff (ie, porn)?

do reviews... try to presell and link to the join page rather than the tour...

it's not really that hard to do, just the ratios are shit compared to mainstream...

try to pick niches or micro-niches that aren't saturated on the tube sites... don't try promoting generic hardcore porn... that won't sell well because you can get that for free everywhere... what you want to do is cater to the freaks, those beautiful outcasts of society that are completely obsessed with weird shit and NEED it to get off... those are the people willing to pay for porn... ahh, I love my surfers...

also, if you have any strange sexual fetishes, use those and build something related... the more you are able to understand your niche the better you will do with it...

As has been said - don't promote what everyone else is, micro-niches where there's not loads of free content floating around convert better. Also, because it's a micro-niche and there's less options of paysites for surfers to join once they find a paysite they like they usually rebill for months.

Usually sponsors provide affiliates with the same fhgs and free content zips. Email, or even better phone them up, and ask for members area access so you can go in and grab your own content to use. When you use it on your sites surfers haven't already seen the pics/movies a thousand times before on other tgps/tubes/blogs.

Just because you're in the members area and can choose whatever content you want for your site doesn't mean you should give away the farm. Use only softcore images/movies on your site. Repeat only softcore! Why would surfers at your site pay to join a paysite if you just give them the hardcore right there?! Sure having hardcore on your site will get you more traffic but it won't convert for shit. Softcore converts, period.

It's your job to sell the site to the surfer, not the sponsors, so presell them, don't just send them to the tour and hope for the best.

It's pretty difficult to do with adult but think and build objectively and you will get good conversions :)

EDIT : It's also quite common for people promoting adult to use the word 'free' to get and push a higher volume of traffic around. Never use the word 'free' anywhere on any of your sites.
