Hey Guys,

I recently created a bunch of wallpaper sites and as they're just starting to churn in some proper traffic, I was wondering what are the best ways to capitalize on making some decent dollar?

Past experiences are welcome :rasta:

i got one altho i don't receive too many uniques ( ~ 250 / day ), i am able to pull an ~$10 / day off adsense.

Well one of them is getting roughly 500-600 downloads a day. The others are about 1/5 of that.

Please tell me more about this per install thing? :)

Here's an idea. When a user downloads a wallpaper, put it in a .zip along with a .txt file saying "readme." In it, you can put some URLs to sites. Sell that space. :D

Ahtum, what is your CPC?

I know of a couple offers on different CPA networks that pay like a couple bucks per download of their software that lets the user browse wallpaper, screensavers, icons, etc. May produce more than adsense as your target audience is obviously interested in wallpapers. PM me if you want me to look up the name of it.

Pretty high worst click i got was $.20 or so.

Put the downloads on a timer... play video ad while they wait

You know the timer isn't a bad idea at all :).

I'm pretty sure youi could still do pay per install, just find a way to convert the images into .exe, and when the .exe is run set the image as the wallpaper. Then budle it with zango or something. At 500 downloads a day, even if 50% were detered from installing, thats still 250 *.43 =$107 daily ^^

The problem is that Zango is such a despicable company. :|

It isn't that they're despicable, they just have shady business practices...some have accused them of affiliate link stealing, but what worries me most is the almost-spywareness of it.

Is Zango the only company you recommend for this? I noticed there rates depend on what country the install user is, and most of mine are out of those regions. :(

I haven't found a good company for PPI either- Zango is awful at getting back to you, I tried for over a month to get them to bundle w/ my software, and they kept giving me a runaround.

Anyone else know of a good PPI program?

I'm also looking into having a toolbar program built for me that I can bundle myself - probably make more money in the long run if you could do this.

stay the fuck away from zango - they steal our affiliate commissions for a tiny payout for you. you'll just shoot yourself later on.
