What are some good, SIMPLE programs for designing websites? Nothing fancy, just a mini-site with 10-20 pages. I've heard Dreamweaver; are there any others?

Thanks.

Wordpress

Wordpress is a Blog/Content Management system, it is not software to design websites.

Dreamweaver isn't exactly simple, its one of the better ones, but you have to know your stuff anyways.

Frontpage is probably the easiest... but the shittiest in terms of results (though I guess its a toss up compared to Yahoo Site builder and such :D)

There's iWeb for the mac platform, but you can't access the code if you need to insert a banner or such.

Rapidweaver is rather nice but it's only available for Macs.

I personally go back and forth between Coda and Dreamweaver. Just keep in mind if you're looking to do something quick and easy, the appearance is going to reflect that. Course you could just install a CMS like mentioned above (wordpress), and go download a wordpress theme.

Dreamweaver is very nice. It has a lot of features that make it easier to build a website. For example it has a built in function list so you don't have to remember which argument goes where which saves a lot of time. notepad++ is another great one and its easy on your computers memory.

^^ lol, owned.

I use jEdit, it runs off Java, is pretty lightweight and has all I need (including a huge plugin base for additional stuff). E.g. I hate coding on a white background, that gets tiring after a while. My background color in jEdit is #D9D8D8, that's a nice, sleek, and sexy gray :xmas-smiley-016:

But seriously, I have Dreamweaver installed along with the Creative Suite but I have never even opened it. I guess it depends on what you need - if you don't need all the fluff, go with Notepad++ or jEdit. For supadupa extras, I guess Dreamweaver is a good choice.

I have dreamweaver... but I use it 99% of the time in code view, in which case if I need to do some quick work Komodo IDE and Coda works just fine. (Though I wish Komodo IDE had the get/put interface like dreamweaver does).
