So - trying to rank a blog post page - ordered a RV book marking service - jumped from 280 to 70. Good :). Last week.

Just ordered xrumer profile blasts 2 days ago (650 - starting very conservative) and 1200 directory submissions.

Changed a text on that post just a bit. Added some content to the same post (Keyword in the first paragraph and stuff that was not optimized according to yoast seo plugin)

Ranking at 300 right now :( WTF, lol.

Should I get another BMB or let it be for a bit?
 


Looks like penalty. If you get many links to only one page and those links have the same anchor, Google won't like it.
What's happened to other pages of your blog?
 
never targeted them at all yet. But that's the thing - i could understand if I just ordered like 100k xrumer blasts and crazy amount of linkbuilding, but I though I am going pretty conservative - seo quake only shows 21 incoming links to that post so far.....
 
Update: The targeted page was out of serps altogether for 3 days. Then was back up at about position 300, now in one day back to position 86 - exactly where it was since that weird dance. I am confused...

I guess, you are victim of Bloop (Backlink over optimization penalty)

Google's algorithms are pretty smart to discover such SEO practices. Link blasting definitely raise suspicion in Google's eye.
 
Well, it is back, hovering at 80 something. I didn't go aggressive, let me remind you. First week - red virus 100 book marks, second Andrey's profile xrumer blast for 600 profiles only, and now 1200 directory submissions dripped at 200\day. That's it so far.
