I'm staunchly nonpartisan. It's one of the reasons I avoid participating in the political threads (though I enjoy reading the different perspectives). That said, I'm always fascinated by societal trends.

I came across this article earlier today...

Does ideology trump facts? Studies say it often does

The details are humorous. Especially when you mutter "we're doomed" to yourself after each paragraph (great idea from Scott Adams). But, the broad premise is riveting.
 


Confirmation bias at work right there...
What I find even more tragic are people that get into arguments online, and then post shit from blogs as a backup.

I consider myself fairly liberal, and even I think the Huffington Post is the most noxious and obnoxious piece of crap out there without dipping into tin-foil-hat territory.
