It's been quite awhile. There might be some other things going on around here shortly. ;)

At least it's behind a somewhat expensive service to keep out 95% of the people that could just read a thread on here.
Yeah, but that 95% of the people do < 1% of the damage.

Being one of the 95%, I know this to be true.

Part of the argument for the other thread was Google seeing it and devaluing.

Obviously doesn't apply here.

And as was mentioned above, in that model there are other barriers other than just blasting a cheap copy of SB.

Not saying getting ads copied is desirable but seems everyone wants to parallel other forms of outing now to this one recent case to try and find some hypocrisy.

If you think this is the same then you need your IQ tested.

There's a huge barrier to entry in media buying. It's called cash.

so it's OK to do it if you're serving the rich, but not OK to do it, if you're serving the poor? Seems like a faulty logic to me.

for the record: I have absolutely nothing about this banner and more importantly it's nobody's problem but the owner's if there should or shouldn't be banners on the site.

WRW provides a service(a good one) and renting space, to a quality product where a large interested audience can see it is what advertising should be about.

Doesn't matter if you're relying on a shady SEO tactic, or finding "pockets of traffic" to sell worthless shit on 200% margin. Your business model is doomed to fail if it is about about exploiting to death an advertising technique, rather than using it as a mere promotional method.
