I haven't been able to find any information on pharmacy affiliate marketing here, only a couple of posts but it seems like something people don't want to talk about. Or maybe there just isn't interest. Still, for the ones in the know, I have a question.

Is it worth it to give a try to pharma related niches? And specially, is it safe?

I guess the silence over here caught my attention more than the money.

Not many people here do RX, you should check out rxaffiliateforum, good luck getting approved to post but theres plenty for you to read up on

the rx market honestly fell out once big brother cracked down on the sales of controlled medications (phent) in US. A lot of people outside the US still make good money on it but I wouldn't risk selling controlleds and stick with the regular drugs. They get less sales but "safer."

The forum listed above is a good start. I used to be in this market, like 3 years ago. I still get residuals from some of the companies still in business. Most closed up once the crackdown happened.

Personally, I think some offline marketing for drugs can be effective. Trying to rank in the serps will be really difficult to do.

I actually saw the other day someone ranking on page 1 of google for "viagra" with site made out of a frontpage template. got to hand it to the black hats.

Thanks Kaveman for the reference. I've been looking into that forum, but I like the WickedFire style a lot more, and they don't seem very friendly to newbies like me.

Anyways, I'll keep looking, thanks.

Got to love this guy's attitude...

its called being a realist and having something called common sense as well as an IQ greater than 90.

Pharm affiliate programs are a dime a dozen. These crooks and sleezebags get the picls for cheap ifrom south america in factories. They will build the fucking website for you..just as long as they can distance themselves from the scam and have you unload the garbage on unsuspecting consumers.

The pharm categroy wont work anymore. Maybe in 1998 or 2002-03 but not anymore cause its too difficult to rank and the kw's are too competitive.

Well, that's pretty easy to tell, and sure most programs I've found don't look very legit. That's exactly why I was asking about the safety of getting involved in this field.

What I meant is that you consistently seem to just tell everyone to fucking get off every named niche...

As for the pharmacy affiliate research:

The rxaffiliateforum doesn't seem to have much life lately, most posts are from 2005 or older, and, as I've mentioned before, they don't appear to be very friendly to newbies.

I'm not looking for an optimist "yes, getting into this will make you millions!" but would like to get some info from people in a forum I can trust (mainly) and that is a valuable resource for a lot of internet marketers.

Some things we could discuss now are:
  • Things to look for on a pharmacy affiliate program
  • Current liability of pharmacy affiliates
  • History of legal issues around this business
These are just three ideas. As I said, I think there will always be people interested in this business and there's no reason not to have some info for them here.

Thanks for replying.

pharmacy affiliate

I'd agree with others saying the pharm is the probably most competitive niche at the moment, however there are plenty of other pills except phentermine, viagra or Xanax. :)

go for herbal supplements ;) big money there.

i use many programs but my favorite one is still webmasterlife, check my signature ;)

any tips promoting herbal supplements? i spent a bit of cash trying with joebucks last year and barely recovered half. what kind of demographics buy that stuff?

This is a very old thread to bump, but since you brought it up, I think I'll let you know that despite the extreme competition in RX and all the changes in rules over the last few years, I'm happy with the results I'm getting.

There is money to be made on every market, just put some creativity into it.

The herbal market is extremely competitive now too. Also didn't the FDA come out with some new proposal recently about herbal drugs?
Im not in the US so Im not sure it effects me but could be a big deal if it goes through.

The bottom dropped out of pharma when the new legislation was passed.

FDA might be regulating herbals, but haven't heard anything about it lately.

Herbal stuff sells, for sure, but there's fierce competition and fiercer bidding on keywords. Again, keep in mind long tail marketing..
"herbal medicine" is not going to be a good keyword, but perhaps
"herbal medicine supplement nutrition" (for example)
would be better. I'm not really sure as I'm not doing any pharma/herbal stuff atm.

easy, find a niche with high demand and low competition. check climinax, the new product from webmasterlife. link in the signature.

Herbal shit converts like crap compared to the real thing.

You won't find much info or good niches in pharm unless you test and find them yourself. It's a hush-hush industry all around... from what programs are good to what sells to words/phrases that rank.
