I didn't choose her, she chose me. And quite frankly I'm kind of lonely but on the other hand, I'm too scared of getting my feelings hurt again to pursue close human relationships. I pay all my rent and bills on time every single month. I was wondering how much a cat costs on average per year.

If you're serious, it barely cost anything. A couple of bucks a week for cat litter and food, but that's as long as it's an indoor cat. If you have an outdoor cat you can run into problems with vet bills if they pick up disease or get into fights.

Dead serious. Alright, I always felt like I'd be a little guilty for leaving my cat indoor all day long because it's a creature that deserves to be outside and free. However, almost every time I see outdoor cats, they always hang around within 30 feet of the same food source. Doesn't seem like they are a terribly adventurous species. Not sure what the proper approach is. Maybe part time outdoors with supervision.
