hi, newbie to the forum and the 'internet marketing' game..

my question is:

what do think about websites that incorporate blog/community/forums?

- i've been doing alot of reading and its a fact that you need good unique content on your site,

but community sites which incorporate a blogging system for each member, doesnt that create more content?

i have the ability to create these type of sites, but i want to know if this is the way i should go starting out.

what do you think?

I don't know if that's the best start for you, but it's a good concept. It won't bring you results as quickly as adsense sites or ppc arbitrage, but once you build a good community, you don't have to rely so much on search engine traffic and you have your users adding content to your site and keeping it alive and fresh.

Everyone knows that myspace, youtube and digg are successful, but there are also smaller guys in the same game which also seem to be doing well, like 43things or blinklist.

If these are the kind of sites you were thinking of, you'll find lots of good reading material at mashable.com

In my opinion, community/ forum should be your target in the long run. It is not easy, it takes time and efforts, but it is the only way to considerably grow your main website and have time to work at other projects.
