What domain would you choose?

I would choose domain 1. Easier to remember and better for type ins. One would get flagged for duplicate content if they were exactly the same. The most important part of SEO is off page SEO.

Normally, my choice would be #1.

However, if it's childrenslaughter.com, I would think twice.
childrens laughter or children slaughter?

Dash between words would of been better in this odd example.
childrens-laughter.com

Always go with non-hypen domain. Then always go with com. Based on my experience google loves that.

lol good point but I still would go with the non-hyphenated one simply because it will more then likely do better in the search engines. If you do any type of advertising with the name, you should be able to capitalize the domain properly, so I wouldn't see it as a problem. Both names are good, but #1 is better.

On a side note, that reminds me of an old SNL episode with a Sean Connery look alike on Jeopardy and he asks for TheRapist but of course the category was Therapist. Funny shit.

From Google's perspective, they look at the keywords on the pages of the site as well as the domain name, so unless you say children slaughter everywhere, you won't rank for that most likely.

Imagine that you have two domains.

1. www.exampledomain.com

2. www.example-domain.com

Which one do you prefer? Which one do you think it would do better (imagine that these domains have the same seo, articles etc) (these domains are examples and i dont even know if they excist)

I would prefer the first one.. as long of spammer use "-" to have long tails keywords put in the domain url, and most visitors don't like to type in "-"
