Today I was in a poor, Katrina affected part of Mississippi and I picked up one of those national classified ad papers to leaf through it and see what sort of offline marketing was used on websites and then wondering why I wasn't doing them myself. As I was checking all the websites that were advertised in the paper (mostly get rich quick type deals that appeal to poor and desperate folk - here's one from a guy who thinks he has a "google website" and next to his URL in the ad has GOOGLE written next to it for no apparent reason - some scammer hick who doesnt know how to use a computer) there was a data entry one that I visited and couldn't quite get what he was doing.
The Data Program
When I started reading it I assumed it was the regular pay me 50 bucks to join the data entry program blah blah but then I saw the screen shot of the "data entry program" and saw that this dude is having people pay him a membership fee to fill out his adwords ads. He of course claims to be paying 350 bucks for 45 minutes or some bullshit but what I can't figure out is what exactly hes advertising. I mean is he culling a bunch of keywords for arbi or something and then having some shmuck write the ads and enter the keywords? And is he doing this all one one adwords account? Or is it aff marketing or something like that? Or is he taking the 37 bucks and running? I just can't quite figure out what he's doing with a bunch of people considering it says he is providing the info (aka keywords, ad copy etc). Anyone do anything similar to him or know what exactly hes doing?
EDIT: like 2 seconds after that i google the site and find a massive list of free ad sites that hes probably employing folk to drop links on. i also found some dude who thought about it even more than me lol
EDIT2: further boredom inspired investigation by googling his email shows me that he runs this and this that he just takes the money and runs off.
