Hello,
I think this should go in this topic but I'm not sure. I have tried to make money multiple ways online affiliate marketing, adsesne, etc...Right now I own a content website were I provide three different packages for content. I have a huge amount of white space on the right side of my page were I think the theme was meant for adsense or something. I'm using wordpress so if you could suggest what should go in there that would be helpful. I do not think adsense should go in here because I do not see it very helpful or that it fits a content selling site at all.

No matter what you put in that spot, you need to make sure it earns you at least what you make selling your content packages. No purpose in putting adsense there to earn a couple bucks a day when you're trying to get people to purchase your service.
 
Just stick to whatever you're good at and scale it up.

Hire helpers and see if the ROI remains profitable.

and no, don't let your competitors advertise on your website. :p
 
put a box in there, collect emails, and offer deals/packages on services via email newsletters.
