I'm running a campaign on Adwords that was doing fine up until about 2 days ago. All of the sudden my ads stopped showing. I have had zero impressions in 2 days (WTF?). Up until then Adwords was displaying my ads probably around 1,000 times a day. Has anyone else noticed this?

Oh, and NO - I don't have any outstanding balances or anything. All my information and payments are up to date.

If you haven't already, log into your account and view the keywords page. If you hover over the little magnifying glass icons it usually tells you why your ad is not showing.

Also click on "customize columns" and choose to show "quality score". If a load of your keywords are showing as low quality then that could be why.

contact customer support. most likely, they have reviewed your ads and stopped some. sometimes for odd reasons those doesn't show up when you query for cancelled ads.

it might be as well, that you were victim of the weekly qs update. once in a week i notice that my campaigns move up or down in score. once in a month there seems to be a general big review.

what does the notification at the top say when you look at the keyword list?

Thanks for the suggestions and quick replies! :)

I am looking at my adwords account/campaign page right now and it doesn't say anything about my ads being disapproved (also, Mason, there is no notification on the top of the keyword list). And according to the charts, my impressions have dropped to 0 from about 1k a day (just a couple days ago). Fucking weird.

I read the TOS and all that related info, and I don't see how I'm violating any of Google's policies with my ads or chosen keywords...

So, I'm gonna scrap all my keywords, make a new ad and see if anything changes by tommorow. If nothing improves, I'll contact customer service.

(EDIT: I think I just figured it out. I had set my maximum CPC at .10 so I just changed the option to allow google to set my pricing. That should do it...)

NOOO. pls. don't do that. google's ideas about pricing are ridiculous. rather increase your bids step by step by 5 cent to see if that has an impact. but by letting google adjusting the price per bid, you can end up really sorry.

Thanks for the input, but it doesn't seem to matter one way or the other. My impressions are at an all time low and I'm about to ditch Adwords and try an alternative. The keywords I'm using have practically no competition AND high search volume, but it's not working for shit. Go figure. A few days ago, I was getting a decent response, but now I'm not getting anything.

Uhh, thanks a lot Google. I know I only pay per click, but what the fuck am I paying these guys for in the long run? Apparently, nothing.

you are way too impatient here.

have you contacted support? only if THEY can't help you should actually deal with that issue yourself.

if you did not change anything and qs is ok it is likely a problem on their side.

just don't start changing around a previously working system, as the frequency of change and the change in itself has an impact on qs. this way, you never get into stable running campaign.

google suggests that this is all realtime. but it is not. there is a lot of manual work involved behind the curtains and you need to get in contact with them.
