What to do with email addresses?

I have loads and loads of email addresses. I believe they are high quality, not scrapped from websites but given by people on a piece of paper which later is transferred to an excel sheet. All have data, age, gender and address and more.

I've looked around, asked and searched but all is total crap. Internet tells me to shoot out an email and I'll be rich but this is total crap. The list is growing every week and I am not doing anything with it, it seems a missed opportunity. Any suggestions on what to do with this?

If they're yours and they agreed to be mailed you could possibly import the excel sheet in to an auto responder like getresponse and create a mailing sequence.

I get this but "create a mailing sequence" is kinda ambiguous.

I mean, A mailing sequence with what? what is the best way to monetize this?

Why did these people give you their email addresses? What are they already expecting from you?

How big is it and how targeted is it? Even if it's a hard to get list, getting the list is by far the easiest part of mailing. If you can tell what you read when you researched is bullshit, then you've probably got a pretty good understanding of the challenges ahead.

Assuming you do have their permission the only thing you should be emailing them about is what they agreed to be emailed about and nothing else otherwise you are just abusing their trust and when people don't trust you they certainly don't buy anything from you or that you recommend.

What they do is report you as spam and unsubscribe.

Keep it relevant.

If you've never emailed them before and it's been a long time since they handed over their email address it's going to be VERY difficult to get a decent response from this.

Email marketing works when you follow up instantly after they give you their email and email often enough to stay in their minds.

In your first email be sure to clearly remind then that they gave you their email and what the purpose was + why you are emailing them now. Don't try to sell to them straight off the bat you 're going to have to try and build a relationship with them again and that will take time.
