What's better go generate opt-ins? Email course or ebook?

Hi wicked people,

I thought about creating a nice freebie for one of my sites so I can build up a opt-in list...

But what do people like more (where can I get more subscriber...)?

a) A xxx week email course on my topic

b) A free ebook like "ten tips about my topic"

c) Something else...

Your opinions please?

Also interested in others' experiences. I'm currently doing digital downloads to generate subscribers, but would be interested to hear how email courses have performed.
 
My best experiences have been with xxx week courses, as you can use it to gain new subscribers but also to offer up different products each week.
 
Video.

Any niche -- doesn't matter.

Include the slides of the powerpoint video so if they're at work they don't have to turn on their speakers and you have the best of both worlds.
 
i hate x-week long courses. show me the info all at once.

either pdf or video would be best

speaks the truth, even though videos are not the best way to learn, a lot of people trust info in videos because it takes more to create a video then to rehash text. It just creates more trust.

Also having a sample of the video offered also helps a lot.
 
Try both but I haven't found xx week courses to work that well. People want the info now so by providing a more immediate video or ebook they're more interested.

I've never done a "7 Day Course" or any shit ebooks. I've always sent simple and to the point 5min reads and that's it. I'm actually gonna throw together a quick powerpoint tomorrow and test it later this weekend.

Test, dump losers, ramp up winners?

If you have the energy, theres no reason why you can't do all the options and see which one works out better.

If I had to choose one to concentrate on, I'd flip a coin and just try it out for a bit, if it were working then great, if not I'd move on to the next one.

Have you ever written a 80 page ebook full of really genuine information? I mean not just robbing shit from ezines... thats a fucking hard work. I would like to save me the two weeks of work if I know from the beginning that XXX would work better in general :-D.

Ok seems like there is no other possibility than test myself :-( had hoped some of you gay guys had made a test before...
