Whats better: Odesk or Elance?

My business is finally starting to take off, and I need more than local help. Which outsourcing site provides a more comprehensive and convenient process with foreign workers
 


I suggest odesk would be the best option, it has option to monitor your contractor's activities idk about elance and the main thing is you are assure that you are working with the worker who really exist :D as odesk identity verification process is quite strict.

If you're looking for writer's Wickedfire or wafo is the best option
If you're looking for backlinkers wickedfire is the best option
If you're looking for scripts to be done scriptlance is the best
If you're looking for Logo's, graphics and stuff go with elance
and
If you're looking for shit work go with freelancer :)
 
I am using Odesk it help's me to increase my business relation with my Clients.It is also very easy to operate and both Off page and On page SEO work done with display On time Meter.So I suggest you Odesk.
 
To be honest this would really depend. If you are ever looking for a programmer then don't ever look on oDesk. I had some pathetic experience. So far I hired like 7 developers and all of them were freaking crap. But if you are looking for some SEO guys then go for oDesk.
 
have not used elance, but used odesk for some development and content writing. Everything I received as finished product was horrible.
 
It all depends.

Elance may be slightly easier to find high quality workers if doing fixed priced projects, and has escrow, and people on their charge more in general.

Odesk has lower prices, but have to fight through the bs ppl a little more.
 
Odesk is more better than Elance.Odesk has many options like screen snap,minicam,chat with client at time of work,Time meter,Select team which is very easy to handle.
 
I think irrespectively of the platform your success will depend mostly on the way you choose contractors. BTW, many of them are registered on both Elance and Odesk
 
Well, when you compare oDesk and Elance you might as well be comparing air to water as the two do not even come close in terms of service. While both are freelance sites, and while Elance does offer some things that are better than oDesk, there are significant benefits to working through oDesk versus Elance.
 
I use odesk and I've found that you'll find a lot of fakes and spammers but there are a ton of great workers on there if you look hard enough.

In addition to odesk I use hyperhour to track their activities.
 
Odesk has a greater variety of workers to choose from, not to mention their extra tracking systems so you can ensure that they are actually working.

Elance I've had more success finding designers here.
 
You can find quality workers at both sites.

The difference is the training that you provide them. I would much rather spend 4 hours creating a comprehensive training program on exactly what you want them to do so that you can pay them a lower wage and the work will be spot on!
