Hey guys I want to try a WP site.

What's the best themes to start with as a foundation?

Revolution,Revolution Pro Media, Itheme e-commerce or other?

Static pages mostly and the occasional blurry you tube.

I use WP for the creation of authority sites as a blog add on but haven't done a WP in root yet.

it's like asking whats the best way to make money.
there is no best way, and there is no best theme. how can you decide which one is the best?

Stop seeking for perfection, and just pick a theme & do something...

you'll have here 1000s opinions anyway...

So in your opinion there's no reason to discuss any topic here.

no, it's just that there's no answer to your question. If you're doing gothic t-shirts, you'll want a different one from a diet offer. and if you're running a dieting offer, you'll want a different one for dating.
There is no ultimate landing page or theme. Otherwise, we'd all be using it.

Most of my WordPress niche blogs are variations on the default Kubrick theme. If you know a little basic PHP, HTML and CSS it's quite easy to whip up a dozen or more different themes quickly. For Blogger, I use variations on the stock Minima template. Keep It Simple, Make the Ad the Star is my motto for most sites.

If you want to go with a more complex magazine style theme I recommend the free ones by Justin Tadlock. He does good work and gives it away for just a backlink. I use his themes on my flagship blog and 3 of my niche blogs where I want a more newsy look.

I like the fabulous design that Diorex uses.

I am way too tech stupid to figure out how to customize a theme... I feel lucky to have figured out how to upload wordpress in the first place. Always amazes me that I make a living doing this - I am almost certainly the least technical savvy member of wicked fire.

Just goes to show that affiliate marketing is more marketing, than anything. Some people spend way too much time trying to do slick ass shit with code, and LP's etc, and forget that what they should be focusing on is the "marketing" part of affiliate marketing.

There is no "right" design, just whatever works.
