When creating landing pages for an offer, such as Blockbuster DVD rental, is it ok to use Blockbuster logo/branding in the landing page design.

As in incorporate the logo into the design and stuff like that, or are we only legally aloud to use the banners and images they give us.

Cheers,

Joe

I'm not an expert on this topic but since the various affiliate programs have different policies, you should review their terms and conditions and/or ask your manager if it's permissible to use corporate images and text.

Always get landing pages approved until you get the hang of what is allowed and what isn't. Terms/conditions are hard to understand sometimes and leaves grey lines.

It's best if you ask. Personally I wouldn't think it would be allowed it it may confuse the users of blockbuster in thinking your landing page is it if you use their logo for your logo or what ever you want to do with it.

It's best to ask because you probably can use a little one or there may be one supplied or something.

I'd say its USUALLY going to be ok as long as you don't try and make it look like your page is actually the advertiser's page. Most the time you're not allowed to put the logo up on the top left of the page and be like: "click here to see more of our products". But you can use it to say "These guys have great products... click on their logo here to see them." However...

... this is great advice.
