What's with the post moderation?

After reading about how wickedfire is the "wild west" of the Internet, I was surprised to see that my first several posts were not published until a moderator had looked at them. But I figured it was okay and probably better to keep the really bad spammers/flamers/trolls out.

But now it looks like my posts are being moderated again. What gives? What are the rules exactly? I mean, I read the posting rules, but I can't find anything about being moderated.

There's a big problem with people just signing up here to spam shit, so the mods are keeping a more watchful eye on new fuckers.

A. The system doesn't know that. It can't tell a spam link from an informative link when you have a low post count.

B. It's just moderation, nothing is getting deleted. The mods here are quick to approve nonspam threads. It's not like anyone is being censored. It's just a small delay to help deter the massive amounts of spam this place gets.
