Test Your News IQ - Pew Research Center

To test your knowledge of prominent people and major events in the news, we invite you to take our short 12-question quiz. Then see how you did in comparison with 1,002 randomly sampled adults asked the same questions in an October 2009 national survey conducted by the Pew Research Center.

I got 12/12, top 2%.

The 12th question was tough, because the answer changed in the last 1 week or so. I wasn't sure if the poll would be up to date but it was.

LOL after seeing these stats I'm starting to think we need legislation requiring voters to pass an IQ test:

I suspect people who are smart or informed about current events are just as likely as the uninformed to seek handouts on the backs of others' toils. They're just less predictable.

In fact, were I a political animal, I'd look at the Pew results and sigh with relief. Then, I'd discuss guerilla's, ayzo's, and papajohn56's results with the DHS.

Pretty funny. 2% of the US population got 12/12 compared to 90%+ in this thread so far (provided you guys aren't cheating). WF rules.

11/12 missed #5 because I more or less tune out whatever the "big" issue at the moment is on the boobtube.

12/12. That was fun. I'm worried about the 6% that didn't get a single question right.

my friend who is a CPA working in a Wall Street firm got 5 correct answers.

my cousin who is studying in one of the top engineer school in the nation got 1 correct answer.

and i got 11/12 :usa: (and i am not even American)
