when exactly does adsense send out payments?

stupid question i know but i have looked in adsense help and all they say there is "Let's say, for example, that the payment threshold for your account is US$100. In this case, if your total unpaid earnings reached $100 during January and you completed the 4 steps above, we would send you a payment at the end of February."

Now what exactly does "end of the month" mean here..because i thought they send out payments on the 15th.
I'm due to be paid by them this month and would like to know if they send out payments on a specific date or a random date?

I get direct deposit and it comes religiously on the morning of the 28th every month. Last year it did come on the 24th of December though, that's rare. I chalked it up to special holiday treatment.

Hmm, mine used to come through to my account (an international account) about 31 days after the end of the month.
