I recently was assigned a new AM from one of the major networks and the they don't know their ass from their elbow.

Maybe I'm expecting a bit much being a newb to affiliate marketing, but I'm grossing about $5k a month for the network and think I could be doing more with some guidance. They're rude and don't have any background in internet marketing.

I don't want to stir the waters and call them out as incompetent.

What's the best way to change without pissing everyone off...?

Thanks bofu. I'm not sure circumventing the AM is the way to go. His boss would probably tell him to deal with it.

When push comes to shove, you can always use the "Hey, there is a million networks out there.." But usually it will not come down to that. I would go with Bofu2U on this one.

I think your AM should be more responsive no matter what your worth to the company. They do work off commission, right? I would suggest an introduction conference call to transition the change. Maybe request a manager to be in a the call. Just so you can be on the same page and have any grievances heard.

are you kidding me, just ask for a new one, happens all the time.

Quick question, what's the relevance of an AM? I mean my AM does shit for me except advertise all day long about high payout shits. Can they tip you off like as in kw or something? :)

yeah it definately happens all the time. sometimes people just don't mix well. Don't waste your time and money dealing with someone who is hurting your business. Dial the company line, hit 0, ask for the Director of Affiliate Marketing, and tell him/her your problems. If they don't get you a new manager right away go somewhere else. Its less of a deal than it seems and maybe that affiliate manager needs a client or two to leave them to set them straight.

They should be able to point you in the direction of the right offers and give you suggestions on how you might be able to make more money off your promotions. If they don't know the answer to a question right away because they're new they should be able to find a useful answer for you very quickly. The network "should" give them the all the tools they need to help you make more money, all they have to do is use them.

I would just ask for a change. If you are not happy with your AM, then they should allow you to change it.
