The DP and Sitepoint market places.

The prices some of these guys are asking for sites with little traffic and nothing more then a domain name is tooooo funny.

yeah lol

one time i sold a site on there and never contacted the buyer

he didnt even ask for a refund

lawls

how much?

I had something like that happen on ebay for a domain sale

two weeks passed by.. I contacted the buyer and asked him how he wants the domain transferred, he said "I have no clue what you're talking about" and that was it

I sold a domain a few years ago for a couple hundred to the cpanel/whm company they paid we talked in email a few times and they never provided info to transfer... domain has long expired. *Me thinks, maybe I should buy it again and offer it to them again* LOL!

WOW, speaks volumes for the type of person you are! You don't think you have an ethical obligation to figure out what is going on? You actually think that it is funny? you got "free" money? Besides this being against the law what about the golden rule!
Does not surprise me that sitemaker would do this!

Ahh Sitepoint, the last private message I got was from an advisor stating "Re: Warning - Ban imminent " why because some turd was selling templatemonster templates and I posted to warn others. I'd found the templates and listed the links. The marketplace sucks so much in that the seller can delete any comments he/she dislikes. He kept deleting my warnings, I kept adding. Then the one post wonder went and complained. The SP gestapo came at me from 2 directions.

Luckily I still have an account but only for watching/buying sites, and trying to warn folks of scam sites being listed.

i sold a site once... everything transferred fine, and it was a site that made a few K a month almost entirely organic... well the guy got it transferred etc, but had a 500 error up for about 4 months... contacted him a lot then one day the site is up and he said he needs some help with adwords... after i was trying to contact him for months. the site lost its PR and organic rankings by then.... idiots.

You should have whipped it back for less than you sold it!

The worst is when you sell a site and the new owners basically just ditch your hard work on the site and just basically use only the domain and start scratch. Make you feel like you can't create a good site :p

maybe they're right

I always end up bidding on something retarded over at SPF. Although the last acquisition proved to be a great asset for WF.
