Where can I find a list of major retail stores?

I tried searching couldn't come up with anything, mostly websites came up with retail stores where their products are being sold at.

I'm not sure what exactly you're looking for. But for overall retail stores I'd probably look for a list by Fortune. A better way would be to break down retail stores by type such as clothing stores/ electronic stores, and then google or wikipedia for a list of each.
