Where/How to buy/sell precious Metals? (Gold/Silver)

What's the best way to buy? What's the best way to sell?


I know I can't buy an ounce for the current price of 1,540/oz or sell it at 1,540/oz. What are the losses on commissions/processing fees etc ?




I'm trying to save for a house for my wife and son due in sept. Before I do that, I want to build our net worth in physical gold.

Google for a metals refiner in your area. Don't go to a jeweler, don't use any of the envelope companies (C4G). Finding and selling scrap is a fun pastime for me that pays.
