Where the hell are the good black Friday deals?



Just snagged a couple monitors from newegg.

- 24" 16:9 1080p Samsung - $190 plus 10% coming back via Bing Cash back.
- 23" Acer w/ the same-ish specs for $135 after the Bing rebate.

The refresh rate blows on both of them (5ms) but they aren't going to be used for gay porn or gaming.

if you go to slickdeal or dealnews daily, all those blackfriday deal won't interest you
 
I want one of the HP laptops from best buy for $179 i think it is, shit would be nice to have a "disposable" computer for all the crap that I download that has spyware and shit... and virus's haha all that tranny porn haha

That's fucking hilarious! I own all three of those items exactly (ps3 for the blu-ray).
 
this "2 items per store" thing is bullshit - they might have 10 of them, but only 2 will be at a certain price. kind of ruins the fun.

I haven't seen many black Friday deals as well. I think it's a big joke if you asked me. I think the prices are already so friggin low because of the recession, they're having problems going any lower.

Most of that assortment is horrid quality Wal-Mart crap. The only things there that interest me are the 1TB HD, the TomTom XL, and maybe the 32" LCD TV. But screw heading over there (25 minutes away) at 4AM to fight the crowds. I hope this stuff is online tomorrow morning.

FYI, last year I went to the local Walmart (where the employee was stomped to death, BTW), and bought $2 DVDs a full two weeks after Black Friday, so there's no reason to get yourself killed over it. I bought "Hollywoodland" and "A History of Violence," and there were other quality DVDs available.

One time I went to Best Buy far away at 6 am for an electronics item, but there were none to be had after the greedy people in front of me scooped them up, and I was really mad. I found the same deal weeks later elsewhere - without having to be at the store at a lunatic hour.

Taking my time here. ;)

a) $400 for a good monitor is not too over the top to begin with

b) 4 years is a long ass time for tech

yes, 5ms is a pretty shitty refresh rate regardless of what year it is.
