Came across a pretty elaborate scheme yesterday in an affiliate program I run. I was wondering if there is somewhere to report this so other affiliate managers/program owners don't fall victim to the same scam?

For the record, it's not an accusation, it's 100% proven that this person has a never-ending list of legit, working credit cards from unsuspecting Americans. The person is even spoofing the IP to show the order being placed from the city the purported customer resides in.

er, report it to the authorities?

That's if you really do have proof.

So here is the person's real identity, at least according to WHOIS.

Website used to defraud in this case was:

Fashionskys- Homepage| Welcome

Claims to have a list and mail, but is using stolen credit cards.

Signed up from an IP in Cincy and used the name, address, and identity of a person there. The phone number was the only "fake" thing about this.

Luckily we found it semi-early, it could have been much worse. Just figured it's best to alert everyone here so the same doesn't happen to them.

Have little sympathy for OP

No due diligence (2 seconds on that site and it's obvious it's just a shell)
Approving Chinese affiliates

^^ Agreed.

Besides the copyright notice being from 2008... Here are screenshots of the About Us and Contact Us Page. Now, can you spot the red flags? Are you just letting anyone into your affiliate program?

Re-read.

Didn't sign up "from China." Signed up from Cincinnati under an identity he stole. I am refraining from posting that because I've already spoke to this person and he doesn't want it spread that his identity was used like this.

Nobody here is crying, don't need your sympathy, simply WARNING others.

We're good. Hope you are too.

Have replaced affiliate manager, obviously. Was pretty much letting anyone in. Lesson learned in paying an override on affiliate sales.

ROFL, you guys are harsh.

*WF* POST THE INFO
*OP* POSTS THE INFO
*WF* PREPARE YOUR ANUS WE'RE COMING IN DRY FOR OUTTING!@#

that is between the affiliate, the network and the advertiser. the advertiser will notice the bad leads, inform the manager who will ban the affiliate.
