i want to promote amazon products on my blog along with adsense. Which widget will let me do this? it should be free as well

Amazon has their own widgets; some of which are customizable to go with your site better. You just copy and paste the code into a text widget in the sidebar, for example.
Many of the adsense plugins should also accept this code as well in place of the adsense code.

If you you want to promote amazon products on your blog its easy to do with scripts and plugins. A very good wordpress plugin is called Reviewazon. I use it on some of my blogs and had success with it. Adding products is easy to do when making posts. Key is to have good content and always keep updating it.
There is also a new script I have found called fresh store builder. It is very uniqe and has a lot of features I don't see in current scripts. With this script I just installed it on a subfolder mysite.com/store/ and I made my store look exactly like my blog so they blended nicely.
