If you're a newb get approved into 3 or 4 networks and go from there.
Azoogle, Neverblue, A4D, C2M, COPEAC, AKMG and Mundo are a few I'd recommend.
Spend 30mins and sign up to all of those - then give them a call tomorrow morning to get approved. Don't bother bullshitting, although if you're a complete noob a little exaggeration never hurts. Say you've been doing IM part time the past few months and are looking for a wider range of offers to promote in Facebook (or PPC whatever) and you've heard good things about the network from industry friends and WF. Probably best you don't say you're not earning a cent atm, so say you only make $50 in revenue a day atm but you're serious about scaling and taking this up as a full time job.
The secret is to call them and be confident and you won't get denied.
Just don't bombard your affiliate managers with stupid questions or emails once you're are approved as they'll find it annoying, so keep on reading, pick some offers and start promoting.
